By the Sea ♦ Am Meer

I'm living at the edge of a wood. The only thing I'm missing is – the sea!

So when I had to go to the Netherlands on Sunday, somewhere to the south of Rotterdam, I wanted to spend some time at the beach.

I could make it and I walked through the water having my head cleared by the sea breeze and listening to the gently crashing waves. That's why I prefer the rough sea. It wasn't really rough on Sunday but it was fine.

Ich wohne am Waldrand. Das einzige, das ich hier vermisse, ist – das Meer!

Am Sonntag musste ich nach Holland fahren, irgendwo hin südlich von Rotterdam. Ich wollte auf jeden Fall ein bisschen Zeit am Strand verbringen.

Das hat auch geklappt. Ich bin durchs Wasser gelaufen, hab' der (sehr sanften) Brandung gelauscht und der Seewind hat mir den Kopf freigeblasen. Das ist übrigens auch der Grund, warum ich eher die raue See mag. Es war jetzt nicht wirklich rauh am Sonntag, aber es war schön.

Today I'm going to clean all the shells I've gathered. Don't yet know where to put them to prolong the 'sea feeling'.

I really enjoyed my tiny holidays. Hopefully I can do that again some time this week.

Heute muss ich die Muscheln säubern, die ich gesammelt habe. Ich weiß noch nicht genau, was ich damit mache, um das 'Meer-Feeling' zu Hause noch ein bisschen länger zu haben.

Ich hab' meine Mini-Ferien wirklich sehr genossen. Vielleicht kann ich diese Woche noch einmal dort hin fahren.
