A New Accommodation for Leo

I've told you about Leo the least weasel baby that I'd found last year. I've also told you about living with Leo  in the house and about Leo's weasel dance in the snow in my living room. But it has been pretty obvious from the beginning on that one day Leo will be released back into the wild. Or at least that I'll try to do that.

Brauner Zucker - DIY

Langsam findet er auch Einzug in unsere Supermärkte: brauner Zucker. Allerdings nicht überall, selten in verschiedenen Qualitäten und zu einem relativ hohen Preis.

Man mag über amerikanische Koch- und Essgewohnheiten denken, wie man will. Dass man dort statt des weißen Zuckers meist den viel aromatischeren und oft auch gesünderen braunen Zucker verwendet, darf man getrost als dicken Pluspunkt verbuchen.
